Hello my loves. It has been a minute since I last put up a post, and I am truly sorry. On the upside, there has been strategies that I have been putting in place, all matters my creative space. The good news is, something beautiful, magical, life-changing and inspiring came to life within the period I was mute. And that is…….Passion works kenya.
I know you are wondering, what on earth is passion works kenya? Well, I sat down and thought about all the things I am passionate about, and have the abilities to work on, and it all summed up to one thing:Content creation. Being the spontaneous lady I am, I immediately logged onto facebook and created a passion works kenya page, shortly after did the same for Instagram and youtube. One would ask, what is the goal?
Well, the goal is to create informative, inspiring, entertaining and life-changing content through writing, vlogging and acting. And where does all these fall? Passion works kenya. My prayer is, this avenue grows to a point where it is beyond me and serves a larger community, worldwide. Wow, clapping is allowed. Go ahead, knock yourself out….in the comment section🤣🤣🤣🤣
Now, onto our subject matter of the day, THE BARE TRUTH. Kenya as a country woke up on the 1st of July to extremely sad news of the passing of Bob Collymore, the C.E.O of safaricom. Bob had been ailing for roughly two years now, with a rare type of cancer, named myeloid leukemia. From what I have gathered, the body is filled with blast cells, which are ordinarily supposed to split into white cells and red cells, but they don’t due to the condition. This in turn causes deficiency in white cells, and therefore the body’s mechanism to fight infections is weakened. Mr. Collymore has left behind a beautiful wife, Wambui Kamiru and four children, and his cremation is to be done today, the 2nd of July . I stand to be corrected on this information. Pardon me if I am wrong. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
Cancer has over the years proven to be a heartless monster, taking the lives of incredible people in the society. 2 years back, we lost a very powerful personality, Janet Kanini Ikua, who passed on due to stage four lung cancer. My prayer is we take time off to go for screening and be sensitized more on this deadly monster.
Now, I know some of you are thinking, is she giving us history of cancer deaths? No. I am not. I am a child of God, a believer to be more precise. Therefore, I feel it is important to put it out there that when all is said and done, what truly counts is your salvation. Trust me when I say, every earthly thing we so effortlessly work for is vanity in the end if at all we lived in conformance to the world and not according to the word of God. In the book of Philippians, paul states that for him, to live is Christ and to die is gain. But you know what the beauty of all these is? Even though our bodies are automatically subject to death because of sin, righteousness is accorded to us through faith in God the Father, and this transcends to eternal life.
In the Bible, God tells us that we should quit working for food that spoils and instead, work for food that births eternal life. And who is the bread of life? Jesus Christ. In Jeremiah 29:13 He says, if you seek him with all your heart, you will surely find him. He is that faithful. He was that faithful , even to die on the cross for us, we the unrighteous, in order to ensure our most basic need is taken care of. Our salvation. Friends, the devil rejoices when we have detached ourselves from the love of Christ, when we are yielding to the desires of the flesh and living in conformance to this corrupt and adulterous generation. In the book of Mark, there is a very powerful question, “what does a man gain to have the whole world but lose his soul?” Reflect on that folks. In Genesis, we are told sin is crouching at our entrances, waiting for an opportunity to jump right in.
That is why it is important to put on the full armor of God, according to Ephesians chapter 6. Believe me when I say there isn’t a love like God’s love. Infact Paul describes it as high, wide, deep, vast, you name it. Stop hardening your hearts and start living for God. For when the day comes to face our savior and await judgement, all I will be hoping to get is, “well done”. I hope that is what you will want to get as well. Now is the time to kick satan out of your life and welcome God back to where He was always supposed to be living. Be blessed folks. And may you have a fantastic month.
